Foxton Locks

Experience the Grade II 200 year old locks on the Leicester Line of the Grand Union Canal are over 200 years old. Situated in Leicestershire’s beautiful countryside, experience colourful narrowboats, the famous flight of 10 locks, the Museum and a glorious pub garden situated by the canal.

Bradgate Park

Bradgate Park is a public park in the Charnwood Forest, in Leicestershire, Covering over 850 acres. Walk up to Old John, the most prominent landmark across Leicestershire standing at 696 Ft. or admire the deers and beautiful brook whilst walking around the ruins of Bradgate House where Lady Jane Grey spent her childhood.

Wistow Maze

Explore of one of the country’s largest maize mazes, set in 8 acres of living maize and sunflower crops. Enjoy a cake and coffee in the Wistow Café Bistro afterwards followed by a browse in the gallery, garden centre and gift shops.

Rutland Water

Situated on Leicestershire’s outskirts lies a beautiful reservoir covering 1000 acres. Boasting 30 bird watching hides, nature trails, bike hire and two visitor centres.  Rutland Water offers fun for all the family with the Rutland beach, 140 meters of sandy shore line, and Rutland Water Aqua Park, the UKs biggest inflatable park.

Bosworth Battle Field

Bosworth Battlefield Centre tells the story of the Battle of Bosworth, a major turning point in English history, where Richard III fought for his crown and lost his life, and Henry Tudor became King. Interactive, hands-on displays, a range of activities, and guided walks available with access to unearthed objects from the battle.

King Richard III Visitor Centre

Discover the science and analysis that led to the discovery and identification of the long-lost remains of the king. The centre tells the fascinating story of the king’s life and death, and reveals one of the greatest archaeological detective stories ever told.

Belvoir Castle

Owned by the current 11th Duke of Rutland. The estate has many rooms with layers upon layers of history interwoven into the very fabric of the building.
