THE BROGUE

Wingtip, Full or Semi Brogue the term is more about the decoration on a shoe rather than its cut, referring to the way that the surface is punctured and stitched to form a pattern.

THE OXFORD

Originally known as Balmorals in England, oxfords are leather shoes with a relatively low instep, closed lacing and a non-rubber sole.

Modern oxfords, however, may be constructed from suede or synthetic materials, but no matter the material used to construct them, oxfords are usually quite plain with few ,if any embellishments

THE DERBY

Sometimes referred to as a variety of Oxford, Derby shoes have open lacing rather than closed lacing, and the eyelet tabs are sewn on top of the uppers.

Most are double stitched and double soled, and can have a plain, semi-brogue or full-brogue design.

THE CHELSEA BOOT

Chelsea boot has become a staple of a Gentleman’s wardrobe. Chelsea boots were initially created for horse riding. Unisex, they were tight-fitting, ankle-high boots which first appeared in Victorian times and were originally called paddock or jodhpur boots. Their most distinguishable feature is the elastic on the side that allowed you to effortlessly pull them on and off with the heel tab at the back.

THE MONK SHOE

A monk shoe is a style of shoe with no lacing, closed by a buckle and strap.

Either a double strap and buckle fastening or minimal single strap they’re a perfect option for both a smart occasion or day-to-day wear

THE LOAFER

Ideal for the summer they can be dressed up or down with ease. Originally made as a bespoke house shoe for King George VI.

Loafers are designed without a fastening and can easily be put on and off. Known in America as loafers, they have a moccasin-style construction without the laces.

THE DRIVING SHOE

Slip-ons moccasins designed for driving rather than walking. Constructed from a supple leather or suede so they can  be worn comfortably without socks.

They usually have flat  grippy rubber sole with rather than heeled soles that could get caught on the edge of the pedals.

THE BOAT SHOE

The boat shoe, also known as the deck shoe and top-sider, has followed the well-trodden path from being purely work/utility wear to becoming a truly classic piece of men’s footwear

Boat shoes were originally made for walking on the deck of a boat. They have leather uppers with water-repellent finish and rubber soles with pattern cut into them for added grip on wet surfaces.
